Blue Stamps
A blue stamp was a sign that a prisoner has a British or American citizenship. The Nazis were NOT allowed to kill them as they were going to be used as trade for America or Canada to release their prisoners. This, in the end, did not work. Eve was a very young girl. diary of this. In her diary she exclaimed that the Nazis had taken them away from their home and they were to be kept until further notice. Part of Eve's family was taken to Westerbrook except for the parents. They hadn't had their citizenship yet and they were in some documents so they were sent away and killed. Eve and her remaining family, if she had any left, stayed and tried to survive hoping one day they would be free. In the Spring of April 1945, the people of Westerbrook were freed along with 876 other people.
